Though I find it hard to believe that any of you will be bored this weekend with an extra day off, here’s a few ideas for you to make the most of your holiday!

Picnic :: We don’t picnic enough. Picnic with your friends  The grill is great, but there’s something special about the occasional picnic lunch. Perhaps go for a hike in a nearby park or forest area then enjoy a lunch of champagne and strawberry, basil and brie sandwiches!

Fly to the Flea (Market) :: There’s a few flea markets I’m planning to head to this weekend and in the next couple of weeks. Finding that special diamond in the rough can be quite thrilling (for some of us anyway)!

Head to a Flea Market near you

Bike It :: Get out and go for a ride. You could even take that picnic along.

Hop on a bike this holiday weekend

Backyard “Drive In” :: If you have a projector handy, you could enjoy a “drive-in” movie in the backyard (or go really fancy and rent one). If not and you’re lucky enough to live near one of the few remaining drive-in theaters, then head there instead.

Backyard Cinema Screen Rental

Canning :: It’s perhaps a bit early to really start canning since most people are just getting their gardens in, but if you’re like these two, you can pickle anything.

Notice a theme here? Besides the canning, it’s all about being outside this weekend. After being cooped up at work all day and during the winter months, the goal is to get outside and enjoy the weather (fingers crossed for no rain) while we can!

However you spend your weekend, I hope you enjoy it!
